Working Principle
The basic principle of mini vertical electrophoresis cell is based on the migration of charged biological macromolecules, such as DNA, RNA or proteins in the opposite electrode direction under the action of electric field. The mini vertical electrophoresis cell constructs the electrophoresis channel by clamping two glass plates and injecting gel in the center. The electrodes are mounted in the upper and lower buffer cells. When connected to the power supply, the molecules migrate through the gel at different speeds and separate into different bands according to their size or charge differences.
The closed structure of the upper cover ensures the integrity of the current loop while preventing the spread of electrolysis gases and protecting the safety of experimental personnel.
